I'm coming to the end of the road

not sure which way to go

more in than out

So many changes

visual landscapes beyond words

animals, plants, flowers, trees, rocks

all welcoming you home

delighted you're back

warm cuddly hugs and aromas of bread & tea

soft textures and soothing sounds

chocolate, sounds of the sea,

welcoming me HOME

With LOVE and MORE

descending down

deeper down into the Sea

can u see me

can u feel me

can u be me

in another form

watery energies

intense and calm

and between

guide me

to my safety please

let me be

free to flow

again with glee

Alas I'm home again

with thee

Well that is something I know about up close and personal.  My younger brother is blind and I grew up with him and his journey. I witnessed he having countless surgeries from birth til 6, when he lost his sight completely.

He had/has a very keen mind...and an acute sense of hearing, played music just by hearing a tune.  His intuitive skills were/are keen even if he wasn't totally conscious of that. He also has savant like qualities.

Right before he lost his sight completely his sight was the best in his young life.

I witnessed him forgetting the shapes and colors of the visual world.  I'd have to say being an empath, it felt very disheartening to me.  Missing the visual beauty of the world...and yet, there are other ways to illicit beauty through sound, touch, kinethetic skills....there are many tecno advances now  that allow the visually impaired to interact in ways they could not have in the past.  Same for us in the sighted world.

Perhaps there are folks on Gaia right now that are blind.  

I wondered if he had been raised in a different family what his world might be like now.  For I do feel  your home environment is an integral piece of how you will respond to life.

I saw kids at public school make fun of him because he was blind.  Interestingly,
when he went to a blind school in high school, a boarding school, that's when he became more introverted less connected to others...he went into his shell...The kids of different races had prejudice against one another...stealing etc....wondered how that happened given they could not see.  Must not be due to the color of your skin or is it one of those family/collective memes.

As for me, I would walk around closing my eyes, seeing how well i could manipulate my world....I've done some deep reflecting on this subject. We all have gifts, some come in different shapes, colors, ways of being.  It's acknowledging them.  My brother's blindness lead me to volunteer with folks with many physical challenges....
and each one showed me their inherent gifts....and I was honored to support them in bringing forth those jewels in the rough.

If you are given the right support, I feel blindness came bring out wonderful gifts that having your sight might not.

My inability to be  wholly present with someone.
 
Feeling their energy, rather than hearing their words, feeling an incongruency between the two.

My thoughts racin' , something they say triggers something within me...and I want to share it.

Most definitely Pain or Some Major Symptom in My body taking all my attention.

I did a talk once on women's health & creativity & the living link between the two.

When the body is  no longer able to be/do whatever made your heart sing...you crave that spark...that missing link between you and the GRAND DESIGN.
